Worthless and Weak

A long time ago, I started to write a science fiction novel. By far the best line in it is a footnote, explaining: "At the time this part of the book was written, Pluto was still a planet"

(which is of course not to say that this was a good line, but rather that it is better than all the others in the novel so far).

So I spent a fair deal of my free time for the past week trying to get my nintendo wii to display on my new monitor. The only way I can get it to do that (so far) is to convert the component signal to RF and then feed it through the tv tuner card, then "watching" channel 3 on the media center. So basically, doing the exact same thing I did with my NES, back when I first got my NES, in like, 1989.

The only problem is that the TV tuner card has a 2 second lag, in order to "pause and record live TV." Which makes anything this side of a turn based rpg absolutely unplayable, and even a turn-based rpg infuriating to play (imagine pressing a button, waiting two seconds, then pressing the next button, etc.)

On the bright side, I did the same thing to my laserdisc player, which makes it better, because now I can pause, rewind, etc my laserdiscs! Hooray!!

Sometimes, it seems to me that God is in heaven, and he has a plan for the whole universe, and that this plan includes me...

So God, thank You, for in Your mysterious ways, You guide me, You help me, and You comfort me, and You make me believe that my life is going somewhere. Thank You.

This is the third time I've tried to write this post, and have decided that i should hold off on writing it until a later time.

To summarize it in one paragraph, I'm once again confused by a girl, which I suppose is a good thing, because the only time I'm not confused by a girl is when one flat-out rejects me.
