Worthless and Weak

You're all worthless and weak!

Lets say there is a vampire, walking down the street, looking for blood. Now, the vampire sees two people, pretty much similar to one another. However, one is wearing a sticker claiming that he gave blood today, and has the bandage on the arm to prove it. The vampire is probably going to go for the person who didn't give blood, because he has more blood in him. Therefore, giving blood lowers your chances of getting attacked by a vampire! This isn't why I gave blood today, but it is an added bonus.

Anyway, so I gave blood today about noon, and I pretty much vegged out for the rest of the day. I did play some ultimate frisbee today. Well, I wouldn't call it ultimate frisbee, maybe mediocre frisbee, or boderline frisbee, something like that. I basically walked to the endzone, and then waited for somebody on my team to throw it very close to me. Anyway, wish me luck for my midterm tomorrow, its just about time to go to bed. Sleepy-sleepy!!

By the time I get to writing these things, its always 2:00 in the morning. So it isn't as long and as detailed as I would like it to be.

Anyway, today one of my friends was talking to me over IM about bands that I hadn't heard of. Now, you know how when you're talking to only one person over Aim, and another person who's window is already open starts talking to you, you sometimes don't realize that you're in a different conversation? Anyway, so one friend asked me if I like the zoo, and I asked her if that was another band.

Anyway, the weekend was filled with my parents' 25th aniversary celebrationish activities. Which were indeed fun.

Other than that it was a beautiful day, and I can't wait for more of the same. Love you all!!

I usually don't have anything political to say here, because I really don't know anything. However, I will just say that if the US invades Syria, that pretty much means this whole "blood for oil" thing is complete nonsense. Because we'd be invading Syria, and they don't have much oil.

Anyway, I apologize for bringing politics into this discussion. Especially something as idiotic as the comment I just made. Anyway, goodnight all.

I feel that I'm slowly begining to change. Starting to feel more comfortable around people, and I am allowing myself to be myself. Not that I'm never scared or intimidated or anthing, just that today I feel more likely to start up a conversation with random people or something. Thats probably been one of the biggest changes in my life recently. I still have trouble dealing with certain types of people, but I'm getting there.

Thats one of the things thats going right in my life right now. Yay rightness. Also, I'm developing better sleeping habits. That is, not sleeping in every day. I sleep in only every other day. Well, alright, whatever. Anyway, I've had better study habbits than I had the previous two quarters. Which is nice. I kind of feel that I'm slightly more productive this quarter than in previous quarters.

Does this mean that I'm any happier? No, I'm not sure that it does. There are several things that I'm doing just plain wrong. For instance, I like joking with my friends. But I have a tendency to take it a little bit too far, and sometimes I say things that hurt people. And, so I apologize to you, because, if you're reading this, I've probably insulted you in the not too distant past. So I am sorry, and I'll try to control myself in the future.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm much happier this quarter than I was last quarter. Probably happier than I was in fall quater, though. Well, at least I'm doing several things that I want to do, and I am sort of getting my life on the track I want it to be on. This isn't neccessarily good, but its better than the alternative.

Wel, see everyone tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be nice out, love you all!

Well, I've been meaning to write a big thing on how I'm doing and everything. Like, something more than just two sentences, to actually get people an idea of what is going on in my life. But, I don't think that I'm going to write that today, due to time constraints.
Anyway, things I did today:

breakfast
classes
short walk
chilled with Ciania
more classes
lunch/dinner with Steffy
chilled with Jon/Melissa/Steffy/Rebecca (who the hell is Rebecca?)
chilled with Mickey
did basic computer programing (one more problem I can't quite figure out)

finally, I went over to Steffy's, and watched the Wizard of Oz, with DSM playing in the background. If you've never done it try it, its really cool.

Anyway, that was my day, pretty cool eh? I feel that this week is going to be awesome! Wooo!!!!

Another week, another friday where I don't do anything. Oh well, the week itself was fun. So there isn't much to report, other than the fact that the red sox are doing fine, and my fantasy team still sucks.

Friday, April 18, 2003

There was little time that I did little today. That is good. Mainly, I went to classes, studied, took a test, then went to a sox game. So that was really cool. Everything was good about the game, except well....

The WEATHER!!! Why does it have to be 13 degrees out when I go to the game. Yesterday it was 70!! Anyway, I just hope it warms up real soon, real high. Anyway, next game, I hopefully won't have to spend half the time trying to keep myself warm. Well, its in May, so that should be a good thing.

Anyway, have a happy easter, and see you later.

It seems like lots of stuff happened today, but I can't remember any of it. I walked a lot today, and am starting to think myself up a new book. Yay for writing two pages of an epic 400 page novel. Anyway, this one will be about pirates. Arrrrrr!!!!!

Well, I'm going to a sox game tomorrow. Horraay for sox games. Anyway, I get to see Pedro pitch, that will be very fun. Well, I'll dress warm.

Anyway, today I noticed that www.songfight.com is back up. Hoorraayyy for songfight. Horray for JBB, Octothorpe, and all other bands. Anyway, go there and check it out.

And finally, goodnight. I'll see you guys tomorrow.

Ugghhh. I'm sick. Why am I sick when its so nice out? I hate this all. Stupid being sick.

If you haven't gone to www.buddyzoo.com, please do.

If its your birthday today, then happy birthday.

Exosquad is one of the best cartoons ever produced in America.

Umm, I'm gonna write something about replacement value in the baseball section at some point in time, but its not there yet. And it might not be for a while. Who knows.

See you guys later.

Today was a beautiful day. And, for the second straight day, frisbee with Anna. Wooo!!! Anyway, Anna came over and we watched the Sox play. The Sox won, (of course). Later, the two of us got into an argument over whether Greg Maddux or Tom Glavine was the better pitcher. I said Maddux, she said Glavine. Well, I think I won the argument, but lost a friend. Fair trade. (j/k) Anyway, as soon as my laundry is done, I will proceed to go to bed, so that I may awake for my first class, to be held at 8 am in 300 richards. Night to all!

I apologize for not updating yesterday. But anyway...

Occasionally, I go over to Steffy's and watch Anime. And I've noticed that the translated movies provide some great pickup lines. For instance: "There is one girl out there that I love. One girl that I have been looking my entire life for. But I'm never gonna find her, so how about you and I get married?" Classic. So, today I go over to Steffy's and watch "Laputa" and I heard (or rather read) a line that I thought had potential. It was "you look like you're human." And I thought, thats great! Classic! Questioning whether the girl is a human or not simply must work. Then, he finished it with "for a while, I thought you might be an angel." And I thought to myself, wow, that's actually a real pickup line. That's funny. Anyway, on to something that actually matters. Baseball!

Well, I decided that I was going to drop the "b" from Braves, and start cheering for teams that begin with R. Thus, Red Sox, Royals, Rangers, Rockies, Red, and 'Raves. Anyway, its not two weeks into the season, so lets look at how their doing.

Red Sox: 6-4
Royals: 8-0
Ranger: 4-6
'Raves: 4-7
Reds: 4-6
Rockies: 6-4
Overall 32-27

So, an overall record of 32 and 27. Of course, without the Royals, it would be 24 and 27. Now, the Royals are only 8 games into a 162 game season, and most people don't believe thier success will carry on for a whole lot longer. But they are doing phenomenally well, and they will be a bigger threat than anybody expected them to be. Anyway, I'll be cheering for them (at least until they come in to Boston).

There are many things in this world that I don't know. Much of my life, I have been searching for answers to these questions. Some things I was just curious. Some things, I had a burning desire to figure out. Yet other things I felt would be very useful to know.

I don't know when it first occured, maybe this year, maybe before. But I have stumbled upon questions for which I don't want to know the answers. Things that I hope I never figure out, because I believe the knowledge would destroy me. I've written about some of these things before, and some of these things I haven't asked. Some of these things, logic would presume that some of my friends might know (although you can never be certain. I cannot possibly imagine how some of my friends might not know something, but then again I cannot possibly imagine how any possible answer to the questions), and because my friends know these answers, I won't ask the questions, for fear that they might tell me.

Anyway, tonight, I figured out two more things which I don't want to know the answers to. These questions are:

"Why on earth did they name the Anime series 'Bubblegum Crisis?'" I can't quite figure that one out. I doesn't seem to have much to do with bubblegum.

"Why, in the anime 'Bubblegum Crisis,' are robots named 'Boomers?'" Haven't quite figured that one out either.

Oh yeah, and "WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYBODY BUY A VIDEO GAME ABOUT AEROSMITH!!!!???!!!"

Anyway, on to happier notes. I decided to cut my playlist in half. And I almost did that. From 600 to 318. I went through it, artist by artist, and eliminated half the songs by every artist, then I listed all the songs by groups that only have one song in my playlist, and cut out half of them. Thus, cutting the quantity in half, I greatly increased the average quality of my playlist.

And finally, I'm going to bed, because its bedtime.

Ummm, yeah. My day is a big blur. I played Lufia 2 a lot.

Anyway, I spent a lot of time doing homework, and now I'm going to go to bed, because I have an early class tomorrow. So goodnight!

IF everything goes as planned....

On thrusday, april 17, the Red Sox will play the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and me and one lucky friend will go see the game. And, who might be pitching? Why, if my calculations are correct, none other than the mighty PEDRO MARTINEZ himself. And, while I was doing my calculations, I figured that I might as well go on and see who would be pitching when I go see the Yankees get burninated by the mighty TROGDOR!! I mean, the Red Sox. Anyway, if nobody misses a start, and they don't send in Bret Saberhagen to pitch a game or anything, Pedro will start that game too.

Anyway, how cool would it be if Trogdor pitched for the Red Sox. That would be awesome. I guess he'd be a righty. Or maybe a lefty, you can't really tell whether thats a right arm or a left arm that he has. But whatever arm it is, he could definately burninate the opposition.

AND THE TROGDOR PITCHED IN THE NIGHT GAME!!!

As I was walking down the street today, I saw an old friend! Actually, I saw two old friends. They were Nick, my roommate from last year, and Ted, his current roommate. Anyway, we began to talk, and had a conversation that pretty much summed up a my view of relationships.

Nick: So, I see that you've stopped shaving, Garrett.

Me: Yeah, I've pretty much given up girls for the time being.

Nick: Thats the way to do it, just give up and they'll find you.

Me: Well, I've given up before. This isn't the first time. And nothing came of those times.

Nick: Well, the not shaving thing is like a filter. This way, only girls who really like you will bother with you.

Me: Well, that might be true, but I've got a lot of those filters in my life.

And I'm going to take this time to say that Nick is one of the coolest people that I've ever met. One of the nicest guys that I've ever met in my entire life. You rock Nick.

Day light saving means that YOU lose an hour of sleep. It means that I sleep an hour later than normal.

If you ask me, I think Dune is a tad bit overrated. Its good I guess, but why does it have soooo many books written about it. Of course, I realize that the reason there are so many books about it is because the Herberts want to make money, and can do so by writting lots of books. And people buy these books, for some reason.

Well, I think its about time to get to bed. So goodnight!

Saturday, April 05, 2003

I made cookies with Steffy today. YUM! No, Mary, not those cookies. And if the weather ever gets better, I might just have fun outside. But, it won't be until June until it does, I guess. But I can wait, because I'm patient. But I don't have that much else to say. So I'll say goodnight.

Friday, April 04, 2003

Eeek! Is that a typo? Anyway, I should go to bed, so that I can sleep. Honestly, is there anything out there better than sleeping? Of course, but baseball isn't on until tomorrow. Speaking of baseball, I'm actually writing about it! Yay! So read it!

Oh yeah, here's the omitted word that kind of changes the meaning of a sentence. Night!

WMurray13: heeeey do u want to eat dinner at the dining hall tonight

garylogn: sure...
WMurray13: Cool :-D
garylogn: usually I eat other people
garylogn: I mean, I eat with other people

We hurt people sometimes. And I wish we didn't. But it happens. And often, after we hurt people, there isn't much we can do to heal the damage that has been done. If there was anything that I could do that would ease the pain I have caused others, I would do it. But often times, we just don't know what to do. So if there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know. Just know that when I cause you pain, I don't mean it, and I'm truly sorry for the things that I do to you.

Wednesday, April 02, 2003

I'm not going to say much, only that a 16 inning victory is in fact still a victory, and it still makes me very happy. So I can hopefully sleep well. And, I won't get much sleep tonight. But that doesn't matter. I'm happy, we won. And I'll write my projections for this year, tommorrow. Anyway, see you all later. Hopefully, for breakfast. Night!
